Supporting Counsellors to Build Confidence, Grow Their Skills and Develop a Sustainable Private Practice
When I first started in private practice, there were plenty of times I questioned myself. Was I helping my clients enough? Was I approaching a situation the right way? How do I manage difficult presentations? How do I build a practice that is sustainable?
These are questions many counsellors ask themselves, regardless of how long they have been practising.
After more than 15 years as a counsellor, relationship specialist, private practice owner and an ACA Registered Clinical Supervisor, I have come to appreciate the value of having someone alongside you who understands both the clinical work and the realities of running a counselling practice.
I believe clinical supervision needs to provides a dedicated space for reflection, professional growth, support and honest conversations about the work we do every day.
What I offer
Working in private practice can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also feel isolating.
Many counsellors find themselves navigating complex client presentations while also trying to build confidence, manage boundaries, develop their professional identity and create a practice that reflects their values.
What I can offer you through supervision is support not only with your client work, but also with the realities of building a private practice. Having built and grown my own counselling practice over many years, I can share practical tools, resources, insights and lessons learnt along the way, while providing a space where you can gain clarity, confidence and perspective in both your work and your business.

Expanding Into Relationship and Couples Counselling
Many counsellors are interested in working with couples but are unsure where to begin. Relationship counselling can feel daunting when most of your experience has been working with individuals.
Questions around managing conflict, remaining balanced in the room, understanding relationship dynamics and working effectively with two people at once are common concerns.
Working with couples requires a different way of thinking. Often the challenge is not understanding the argument itself, but recognising the deeper patterns, emotional wounds and unmet needs driving it.
If you are interested in expanding into relationship and couples counselling, I can support you in developing the confidence and skills needed to work with couples, while helping you better understand the relationship dynamics, communication patterns and emotional wounds that often sit beneath the presenting issue.
