Couples Counselling Mornington Peninsula

Couples, Marriage and Relationship Counselling Support

If you’re looking for couples counselling, marriage counselling or relationship counselling on the Mornington Peninsula, it usually means something in your relationship isn’t working the way it used to.

You might still care about each other, but conversations feel harder than they should. Things get misunderstood, taken the wrong way or go nowhere at all. One of you might want to talk things through, while the other shuts down. Or you keep having the same conversation and nothing changes.

It’s not that the relationship is broken. It’s that the way you’re communicating isn’t working.

Most couples don’t struggle because they don’t care about each other. They struggle because they don’t understand what’s happening in the moment a conversation shifts.

A tone changes. Something feels off. One of you reacts, the other responds and suddenly you’re no longer having the same conversation. Over time, this becomes a pattern. And once you’re in it, it’s hard to get out of it on your own.

A different approach to couples counselling

Joy Ball is a couples and relationship counsellor based on the Mornington Peninsula.

Rather than offering ongoing counselling, she provides a structured three-session communication program designed to help couples understand what is happening in their conversations and learn how to change it.

This is a practical, focused approach for couples who want real change without committing to long term counselling.

Talk Like You Love Each Other

This three-session communication program is designed to help you understand your communication patterns and change the way you talk to each other.

Across the three sessions, you will:

  • understand how and why you communicate the way you do

  • recognise what happens in the moment conversations start to shift

  • learn how to respond differently instead of reacting

  • feel more confident handling difficult conversations

  • learn how to speak each other’s communication language

This is not about going over the same problems again. It’s about learning what to do differently when it matters most.

What this is not

This is not ongoing counselling or crisis support.

It is a structured three-session communication program designed to help you understand what is happening in your relationship and give you practical tools to change it.
